Nielsen Note: Effective with October 2007 reporting, Nielsen Online has made several enhancements to its MegaPanel service. These enhancements include more granular reporting, increased accuracy, an expanded Internet universe and more advanced tracking. Because of these methodology changes, however, pre-Oct. ‘07 results from MegaPanel-based products, including MegaView Search and MegaView Online Retail, cannot be trended with more recent results.

It is amazing how much market share Google has within paid search.

I believe an Obama DOJ will somehow find a way to investigate Google for potential monopoly practices.

Google has a large market share because people use it. If people felt they were being ripped off or that Google was not the best way to advertise their products and services they would stop using Google.

Don't we have bigger issues right now than whether Google is a monopoly?

I agree. Google is only as big as it because customers find value in it. If they didn't, people wouldn't use it. It's pretty simple.

google's big dogs support Obama. they're fine. plus, how can you have a monopoly in a market as free/dynamic as the web? freedom of choice is inherent in the model.

A natural monopoly is not illegal. No DOJ investigation, no matter what administration.
