UPDATE: Tip for using coin counters

Last month we highlighted Commerce Bank for its unreliable coin-counting machines that have a tendency to calculate less than the amount you insert. But now for some good news:

During my visit today to a Commerce branch in New York City, a bank
representative explained that the company now tests each and every coin-counting machine three times a day
in every location around the country. He went on to say that if the coin-counter fails to calculate the same dollar amount as the customer the bank will honor the customer's word. Furthermore, you don't have to open a Commerce bank account to enjoy the coin-counting service and there are no fees associated with counting your coins.
