Jumpstart Your Personal Finances
With the ending of tax season upon us, you probably know how much you don't know about finances, taxes, and the economy. But now you realize how important this information is, don't you? Can you imagine how much less your kids know about personal finance, savings and investment?
Here are three links to organizations that offer educational material for the K-12 set about financial literacy (Take a peek yourself; you might learn something, too):
1. Jumpstart.org is a national coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of kindergarten through college-age youth by providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources.
2. National Council on Economic Education promotes economic and financial literacy and provides K-12 schools, teachers, and their students with a comprehensive economic, personal finance and entrepreneurship education curriculum and professional development programs.
3. The Money Camp, headquartered in Santa Barbara, Calif., puts on financial literacy camps and other programs for children (and adults) ages 10 and up. It teaches children that creating financial security is both their choice and their responsibility.

I look forward to some help with the money thing. It has bedeviled me for years. Thanks.
Every individual should take courses on managing personal finances especially because money today is almost utterly ruled by credit cards. And as even teens can get a credit card today, they should be properly educated on how to use it. The proper knowledge on credit is sure to reduce the portion of overall credit card debt in the country today. So, the above mentioned organizations are really of great use.
It really is very important to be well-informed about handling finances. There have been so many people who are suffering due to poor financial management. Thanks for sharing these organization, I could use some help too :)
