Quickly Pass Through Airport Security
Airport security is a necessary hassle for frequent flying business people. Even if you know not to bring particular liquids and to wear slip-on shoes, most people in front of you probably didn't remember and consequently slow you down. However, there is now a new way to quickly pass through airport security.
Clear is an airport security fast pass program. Applicants create an online account and are then given clearance at a Clear enrollment location, where attendants verify government issued id, photograph the applicant and take his or her fingerprints and iris images.
At the airport, members verify their identity with their fingerprint or iris image and their Clear card, which must be placed in the kiosk. Clear members only have to pass through metal detectors and x-rays and do not have to undergo any further inspections. Attendants also help you with the bins, which helps speed up the process by as much as 30 percent.
Nationwide, 65,000 people have joined the program, which charges an annual fee of $99.95. Currently, Clear operates out of Albany, Cincinatti, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Little Rock, New York JFK, New York LaGuardia, Newark, Orlando, Reno, San Francisco, San Jose and Westchester and will soon operate out of Denver.

OK, so now that we've paid yet another fee to travel by air they've come up with one more way to have the travelling public pay even further to receive adequate service at airport security points. What's next? Toll "highway" readers on the moving sidewalks in terminals to get another buck?
what did th ebin ladens pAY TO GET OUT OF THE COUNTRY WHEN ALL THE PLANES WERE GROUNDED
Free market at work...I'll wait for the price to come down, but it's a good idea anyway.
Note to Michael Moore 2 posts up: Our company just fired the guy with the "Impeach Bush" bumper sticker. Good riddance!
Note to "2 posts up". Hope you're next in line. Free speech is everyone's business. Until then, I might suggest where the "two posts" should go up.
This story makes me feel ill . . . we should now pay the government for photographing our irises. "Big Brother" is an understatement.
Re "Michael Moore" post Nov. 24 and reaction to it on Nov. 25 before me:
I thought the Nov. 24 comment was funny. As for your company, what kind of company is it? I thought one of the truly great things about America is supposed to be freedom of speech and lack of censorship?(And I do think it's great, despite strong objections to some of our policies.)
To November 25 comment just above : I am not surprised some poor guy got the sack for critisizing Bush. Freedom of speech is indeed a good idea, and someboody should try to establish it in the USA
Sadly USA is a messed up country.
