The dollar can't be considered strong just because other currencies are weak . And by the way , Rome ultimately fell because of arragance and greed .Does that sound familiar .

This is a good article and for those who thinks its hogwash need to get their heads out of the sand or take some serious medication .My guess most of you skeptics are democrats who want to deny that its their fault that the US is in this situation by refusing all sorts of energy such as drilling and sending all our money to the OPEC nations and china who may also do the same thing or just by up america ,what ever is left .

Wells Fargo (WFC) will become the largest U.S. bank by branches with its bid for Wachovia (WB), after Citigroup (C) withdrew from compromise negotiations late yesterday on concerns about the quality of some of Wachovia's assets. Wells Fargo, with a bid valued at $11.4B, expects the purchase to be completed by the end of the year, and denies it will have to absorb assets shakier than originally thought.
