  • Why You Need to Be Careful With Leveraged ETFs
I wish that I read this a few months earlier. I had been trading in HGD.TO and making profits as gold price plunging to $750. It seems HGD.TO is in opposite direction with the HGU.TO, but recently, both were skewed downward and not in proportions even gold price went up to $850. Now, i shall just do day trade but watching the last 15 minutes of the trading days, it can be very volatile with up or down in big volume. I wondered where are the value gone in relation to the pro and short ETF?
    Thank you.

  • Good Regulation Requires Good Regulators
In the case of Hollinger, the CEO just have a few months in prison and parole out of prison still as a millionaire because the parole broad said white crime did not hurt people. No wonder the stock market is just like a casino. Long term hold is no longer feasible as the old days. Free market survives with profit growth, fair share of the profit by the shareholders with transparency and monitored by regulators to gain public trust. May be GIC and real estate are still the best bet.

  • History Lesson and Bear Market Advice
It is scary to buy in a bear market, but if there is a smart Canadian leader, it may be the best time to buy up the auto manufacturing facilities in Ontario , Canada to start to build its own Canadian smart fuel efficient cars now. Very good time to buy and creat jobs for Canadian. Then our dollar will be at par with or better than the U.S. dollars in the near future. Leadership, leadership is to lead. Wake up Canada.

  • "Images of a Shrinking and Damaged Planet" and High Commodity Prices
North America is still the biggest consumer of oil because of the gas guzzling auto engines. A recent trip to Thailand, I can see a lot of small engine Mercedes and other high end auto with smaller engines. The looks are as good and saving gas. No wonder the big 3 are loosing out as they did not face the facts. What is a V12 or V8 doing this days.
