  • Buried IAEA Report Could Give Oil a Big Boost
YogiG and Jack Gordon: I suggest there is a much more likelihood of an "accidental" war with Neville Chamberlain ,AKA OBAMA! in the White House. Be careful what you pray for.

  • Magazine Covers as Contrarian Indicators
I concur with almost all your" what's hot and what's not" assertions but I would suggest another possible conclusion: STAGFLATION.

  • Will Drilling Offshore Affect World Oil Prices?
Bill Clinton vetoed the Republican Congress' resolution to drill in the ANWAR in 1996, saying it would take ten years to get any oil or gas. It is now TWELVE years later and Senator Nelson of my home state of Florida is still singing that same song. I understand Nancy Pelosi is waiting for the coronation of Barack Obama to announce that the Democrats have found a secret process to make motor fuel from liquid moonlight and pixie dust. After all, she claimed to have a "common sense plan" to lower gasoline prices back in 2006 when she took over. See what the "common sense" folks have done to us. We get the government we deserve!!

  • A Supply Side Problem: Oil's High Price is Here to Stay
Hydrogen as a transportation fuel presents severe technical and financial costs. It may happen but will take many years. I don't know where the "trillions" of barrels of oil are located but future oil will be difficult and costly to extract and this will guarantee the cost of oil. Any demand destruction in the U.S. will only make more petrol available for "Chindia". The "Chindians" have plenty of U.S. Dollars to pay for it too.

  • GM May Hit $200 Before Oil Does
The days of CHEAP oil are over, whether that is "peak" or not is a matter of opinion, I guess. There are large deposits of heavy oil in many places of the World, but extracting useful stock is expensive and problematic for the environment.( Think Canadian tar sands).I have to agree with Canadian poster who said the U.S. economy is in dire shape relative to Canada. Wait until we adopt the Canadian medical plan and we will really be up the creek. I have just invested in a Canadian company, Ivanhoe (IVAN) that has a process for producing useable crude from heavy oil. Suggest you do due diligence.
