  • Apple’s Lowered Expectations Pay Off

  • Steve Jobs Explains His Weight Loss as 'Hormone Imbalance'
" As a physician, "hormonal imbalance" means nothing to me. " --- Fair enough. But, as a shareholder, a written guarantee on the Apple website means a lot to me. Jobs is now on record saying he will be well by spring and will continue as CEO. To lie about this would do more long-term damage than to admit he is stepping down. It doesn't seem logical to doubt his statement.

  • Steve Jobs Explains His Weight Loss as 'Hormone Imbalance'
This article tries to downplay Jobs' statement. He did not "admit" he is missing MacWorld because of his health. And the use of the word "mysterious" was meant to sound skeptical. Just give up on this, Erick. The shorts are toast.

  • PC Makers Likely To Feel Compelled to Build 'Smart Tablets'
Bill Gates once predicted we'd all be using tablets by now. Someone needs to analyze why that has NOT happened. That would be a very interesting article.

  • Little Optimism for 2009 Markets
I hope the new government brings back the uptick rule. A lot of this market's decline was done on purpose. Let's please give the true investors a fighting chance against the get-rich-quick crowd.

  • Fast Money Recap - Has Ben Gone Nuts? (12/17/08)
"President-Elect Barack Obama on Thursday chose financial regulator Mary Schapiro to head the Securities and Exchange Commission and former Treasury undersecretary Gary Gensler to run the Commodities Futures Trading Commission. The choice of Schapiro, who is the CEO of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or FINRA, shows the incoming administration is serious about combining the agency and the Commodities Futures Trading Commission because she has experience at both regulators, said political observers. "Financial regulatrory reform will be one of the top priority of mine," said Obama."

  • Apple and Macworld: The End of an Era or Two
Whatever this is, it's time for Apple to shake things up. Ironically, their policy of absolute secrecy has made them more predictable. Analysts, hungry for news, literally have to make it up - and it's always more than Apple can possibly deliver. Therefore, every new product launch makes the stock go down because it's never enough to satisfy the hysterical expectations. It has become a joke. A more transparent Apple would not be a bad thing. Today's downgrade was obvious payback by an analyst who wasn't given the information he wanted.

"Mac Psycho?" Now THAT has a nice ring. Or maybe iPsycho. BTW: I was being facecious (maybe I should start using a "smiley face") Hope PC in your post means "politically correct." 'Cause I'm a Mac.

  • Apple Falls Flat as Market Rebounds - Is There Really Investor Confidence?
I don't like the term "fanboy." It sounds like a gay slur. Well, I like Apple, AND I like women. Do backers of other stocks get called names like this? Just wondering.

  • Apple Falls Flat as Market Rebounds - Is There Really Investor Confidence?
Let's not forget the hype surrounding the Blackberry Storm. Another potential "iPhone killer"? Probably not. My friend tried one and says it feels like it's coming apart as you use it, since the screen must "float" in order to provide tactile feedback. It says a lot about Apple when even a company like RIMM resorts to an iPhone rip-off.

This seems like a very complicated way to say nobody knows anything except that the market will definitely go up or down.

  • Dispelling the MySpace Music Device Rumor
Thank you for showing how easily these rumors get started. Everybody wants to run a controversial or negative story on Apple these days, even if they have to make it up. The simple truth: Apple is a solid long-term investment. But who would click on that?

  • Who Will Win the Home Entertainment Battle?
Any blogger who uses the term "fanboy" is showing they are anti-Apple. It usually sounds derogatory in context and implies that Real Men Use Windows.

  • Share Buybacks Make Apple Sweeter
We're still in a market where good news is forgotten in days. A buyback would make the day traders happy, but a week later the stock would be back down and Apple would have lost their most important strategic asset.

It is commonly thought by all Apple longs that this Sacconaghi fellow is a joke. Why would Steve Jobs listen to this guy?
