    I'd advise your readers to short MU because MU are about to have their head handed to them, being the central conspirator in one of the most sordid tales of corporate thuggery in US History.

    MU was granted amnesty in exchange for blowing the whistle on their decade old price fixing conspiracy whose main purpose was to bankrupt Rambus and steal their intellectual property. The other conspirators have already pled and paid fines of nealry $ 1B and have had over 15 executives serve an average of 6 months each in our federal penitentiary system.

    So, how about warning your readers that MUs past criminal acts are just about to catch up to them, possibly resulting in bankruptcy?

    Do you remember Steve Appleton blowing the whistle on the DRAM price-fixing cartel about 2000 or so? The Feds gave MU amnesty in exchange for squeeling on their former friends: Samsung, Infineon, Hynix, et al... Those companies pled guilty, paid $800 million in fines and had about 15 executives each serve sentences between 3 and 9 months for their part in the conspiracy.

    It appears that the purpose of the conspiracy was to steal Rambus' RDRAM inventions and kill Rambus, to avoid paying patent licenses.

    Citi, do yourself a favor and research the MU/RMBS trial in Delaware, the appeal of the FTC rmbs decision in CAFC, the cartel conduct trial (Jan 22) in San Jose, the CA antitrust trial (summer, '08?) in SF.

    Check these out carefully and rerun your valuation of MU.
