  • Who Will Win the Home Entertainment Battle?
I think Apple TV looks weak in its current release, but I'm betting on the Apple DNA for hugely successful innovation.

I believe the next release will include the same integrated nVidia GPU we find in the MacBook line. (They might even include a DVD, but not BD.)

And then, their own 'Tivo' functionality.

Apple TV 3 (my guess here) would support downloaded content, Walmart content, DVR content, reliability, security, ease of use, and

GAMES as in the Wii genere.

If Apple delivers this, we'll have a whole new ball game. Why?

    They'll deliver with brilliant marketing.

  • 3G iPhone Impact on AT&T and Verizon
    @User 191984

"...but trust me the Samsung Instinct, RIM and LG's new products are going to give (Apple) a run for their money."

Well. Seems like you're not long Apple. As an exercise, post your comment on your fridge; date it; and then make sure you note the relative success of these phones and the iPhone this New Year's Eve.

IMHO Apple ought to be trading above 250 by then. Regards.

  • $1.2 Billion in iPhone Apps? Not Likely.
    Erick,

Just doesn't add up, but you're strategy to stand by this column is (I guess) to sell.

Well, go ahead and reap the benefits of your wisdom.

  • Could iPhone Subsidies Be Apple’s Ticket to Mainstream USA?
I'd like Apple to sell the iPhone for $200 more than it does now with the customer getting a $200 rebate from ATT subscription charges. In this way, the unlockers help Apple's bottom line because their extra $200.

  • Wanted, Dead or Alive: The iPhone Killer
Apple calls it the iPhone, but it could more accurately be called the iPC (i Pocket Computer). It's the world's one and only iPC.

How long do you think it'll take for someone else's iPC to make it into your pocket? My guess: msft will screw up their 1st release in 2010, followed by something that works a year later. By then, it'll be too late and the iPhone will dominate its mkt, just like the iPod does today.

Oh, and as an added benefit, msft transitions into a Mac OS X application services company benefiting humanity by removing all of it's crap OSes from the mkt!
