  • Looking at Berkshire's Q3 Holdings by ROE, ROA and ROI
thank you indeed, saving us a lot of time. ROE, ROA and ROI they are all important but which one of the three is the most important ? and is there a minimum % return you are looking for before you invest in a company?
Thank you for your help, any help is appreciated by those who also read and/or answer to the article and the comments.

  • Be Like Buffett: Get Off the Roller Coaster
you want to own all these companies buy BRK.B . You want to own GE and get a 10% yield don t buy the stock buy BRK.B. Are you looking really hard to buy something for 10 cents or less on the dollar? let Warren do the homework for you. Would I buy BRK.B now? No ,too much press right now but if we see a 15% pull back I ll probably buy some. If you can t beat them, stop being jealous and wishing the worst, instead join them. It may look expensive now but wait 5 years and you ll kick yourself so hard you won t feel your behind for another five years after that. BRK.B is a no brainer in times like these when you have a lot of cash and they come knocking at your door begging you to grab a part of their company at huge discounts accompanied by a huge yield that you and I can t get.

I, am a chrysler worker here in Canada, cannot talk about the U.S , but I would have to agree with user 218405. A lot of my co-workers and good friends are still waiting for a recall. To conclude dc1 I am not in management, I work in the painting shop.Sorry but the next move from chrysler won t be a recall but to send more workers home indefinitely. I know the economy is bad but over the years, good and bad,the union did not help that sector. They helped me short term but long term it s a different story. A lot of my friends agrre with me but too afraid to voice their opinion, that tells you a lot about the union isn t it?
