  • TARP Is Bad for Dividend Investors
interesting article, nothing really new by the way, and interesting comments also. The first sentence of JAMAICAN says it all I could not say it better myself. The second sentence of BS DETECTOR is partially right. It s not TARP that s by news for investors but greed because of a lack of regulations or even worse for not carrying out or enforcing the laws and the so few regulations in place. After all capitalism is made for the people in power and the rich people at the expense of the small investors and ,in last ressource, the taxpayers. I wonder how long it s going to last before we all raise to correct this situation. What happened to all those regulators that were in place during this carnage?
They might have resigned , big deal. What happened to those fat CEOs and board of executives that took advantage of the system? What a farce!

  • More Financial Pitfalls Ahead - S&P
HMCCLUNG who was the president for the last 8 years? that crisis I agree with you might have started before Bush but what did he do to stop that greed that was going on for the last 8 years? But again I partially agree with you again because I would blame Greeny (Greenspan) first and secondly Bush. What a fiasco, do we need another revolution? What happened to those fat Cats ( CEOs, board of directors, CFOs,...) ?
I bet you they walk freely and they ll have a better Xmas than the rest of us
and wondering what can we do with the taxpayers money. A good example of this behaviour AIG, isn t it?

  • BCE Is Not Happy With Outcome of Collapsed Privatization Deal
wonderful, BCE got what they deserve. Treat your customers with respect, change your egoistic culture . BCE the worst company to deal or negotiate with because of their arrogance and disdain to their customers and partners.

  • Musical Chairs - Cramer's Mad Money (10/3/08)
Cramer does not have a long term view, and never will. Dido for medium and short term horizon. He is not even a day trader ,he is a minute trader, if that. One afternoon on CNBC he said to buy inverse ETF on the U.S dollar and the same evening on MAD MONEY he said that he is starting to like the U.S. currency. That guy runs on emotions only but it s ok if you look at him as an entertainer and not at an advisor or an educator.

  • Wells-Wachovia: Good for Everybody but Citi
well I owned both banks but to be honest I am disappointed that C lost that bid ,if we can call it like that. I think C needed it more than WFC. What do you think is happening with C now? We got a clearer picture regarding WFC but you left us on our appetite with C.

  • Citi Gets a Good Deal; Ken Lewis Overpaid
we just found a successor to Warren Buffett , Don Super or Mr Knowsitall. Well if one understands the mechanics of all those desperate moves he/she deserves all our respect.Way too complicated to declare the winner of all this transactions. Easy to declare the losers but the rest is just a guess for now, only time will tell us. Make your bets! Not sure? Buy a few shares of C and BAC if you have some money to spare.

  • What Citi Gets Out of the Wachovia Deal
long term C will come ahead even if there is a lot of pain to own it right now. Looks like JPM, GS, MS ,BAC ,WFC, C, and USB will win this marathon of greed and shame.

  • Dow Price Targets from Last November
the reason for this poor article , if we can call it like that , is free advertising. Absolutely no subtance,no opinions ,no recommendations, anybody and I really mean ANYBODY can do that with of course a purpose in mind, their own interest not our own (the small investors).

  • The SEC's 'Sacred Cow' List: Where Are WaMu and Wachovia?
foreign banks? is it because they have their head office in another country? all those institutions have money invested everywhere including USA. But I agree with the fact they should all be protected
no privileges should be attached to only a handful in the same sector.
thanks for the list and all that goes with it,really interesting and valuable tools.

  • Short Sales: SEC Turns Back the Clock to 1931
MRTAXX i agree with most of what you said except one thing ,the SEC knows how to do their job ,which is to help the financials out of their mess at the expenses of all of us. I invite you to read Richard Wending s message that is so accurate, thanks by the way Richard for something that becomes clearer about the SEC s intentions. But is this really a surprise to the small investors and also to the taxpayers.
