Where are you getting these P/E multiples from?

ROSE stock price: $27, consensus 2008 EPS: $2.24 P/E: 12.0x
CLR stock price: $77, consensus 2008 EPS: 2.91 P/E: 26.4x

but who cares about P/E ratios, commodity stocks never, ever trade on them. they trade on $/mcfe or boe of reserves, or cash flows or EV/EBITDAX. p/e ratios? c'mon at least if you use them, do the math correctly.

that being said, i like and am long ROSE too.

Wells Fargo (WFC) will become the largest U.S. bank by branches with its bid for Wachovia (WB), after Citigroup (C) withdrew from compromise negotiations late yesterday on concerns about the quality of some of Wachovia's assets. Wells Fargo, with a bid valued at $11.4B, expects the purchase to be completed by the end of the year, and denies it will have to absorb assets shakier than originally thought.
