2 powder basin coal is low thermal and not worth shipping around the world

3 eastern coal would really have a long boat ride to china

Buying momentum stocks after they peaked and are on the way down is a sucker trap.
The worm has turned, now the momentum is down.

It's Not Too Late to Buy Coal

If you'd said buy 4 months ago before they tripled that'd been a good call.
But now?
More likely a regression to the mean at these prices.

monday news, one more coal plant bites the dust:

Power plant plan fizzles. BP (BP) and Rio Tinto (RTP) cancelled a plan to build a $1.5-2B coal-fired power plant in Australia. The plant was canned after the firms discovered rock formations in the area would not fully seal-in carbon dioxide deposits.

the price of coal varies a lot like oil depending on energy content & sulpher.
sweet oil is $126
canadian oil is heavy & sour and $60
coal can vary like that too.

ANR was $16 last year, up 400%
it's hard to impossible to build a new coal electricity plant
in the US.
the future is not good, this is just a part of the commodity boom

Global Warming Up to a Hydrogen Economy

This is a fantasy/idiotic dream.
Currently to get hydrogen electricity is used,
what advantage does H have over electricity?

The conversion wouldn't be 100% so H would
cost more.

You talk about future technologies that would
make H at a cheap price.
Ha
