      Another Day Without Precedent
i agree with smarty pants - the seeds are sown--and they have been for many a year. No one canfix what these distrustful white collar thugs have done to what was once a great, reputable Wall Street.

The chickens always come home to roost, regardless of the emergency summit going on. Yes, 700 billion here, 1 trillion in credit card debt there, hedge fund speculators getting smashed and deflation (which is way worse than inflation) will rear its ugliness to the market soon. I'm way heavy in cash now, and have been for six months sans some coal, metal, gas and gold stocks. (ACI, BTU, CHK, PPL, FCX. ABX).

I agree with einstein, too. I'm very Bullish in coal and added to my btu and aci positions during the last month selloff. I do agree that NGAS (although I own and like CHK) is going to one day be the way to go. Natural Gas is the coming thing, until then, coal will rule as it is abundant, (needed in China, et. al and many of our electric companies must also burn it.
Additionally, I agree with Anthony on his bullish metals plays (I won ABX and added as it dropped, too)

Don't Burn That Coal Just Yet
Author makes lots of good observations and projections. I'm long BTU, ACI, CHK and ABX --and one of my all time favorite stocks, FCX. I may be a bit heavy on the side of commodities, but the PE ratios and profitss that beat the street expectations are quite impressive. The CALLS are back in, too, which is good for the LONGS. Great article and charts here.

Put Volume Spikes While Commodity Stocks Falter
Agreed - this is market maipulation at its finest (or should I say worst). Us poor "peeon" investors must stay long and throw them off.
We'll be repaid when things like earnings per share, PE's, guidance and common sense reurn to the commodities. I will not sell, and added positions in FCX, ABX and BTU today when they went south later in th session.

Chesapeake Energy Pre-Call Notes: Another Quarter, Another Beat
Lots of good reading here -- I'm now long CHK, and continue to add to my holdings, which also include ACI and BTU. All three up in afterhours trading, especially the coal. CHK's McCLendon appearance on Mad Money helps tonight, along with Cramer's continued support of this company. It's only a matter of time, and CHK is back to 60...and then up it goes into the dead of winter.

Right--just look at today --- shooting craps again when things should be on a continual rise like the open. Not to be. Added some more ACI.

I don't remember Cramer recomendeing Wamu -- US Bancorp yes, out of his four fortresses - but not WM that I remember. He said he'd keep buying CHK into pain, too, and loves the company.

Loss of Clarity on Chesapeake's Peak
I've been in this game for 45 years buying, selling, holding, and even some day trading a few times. Never have I seen a market so absolutely crazy and I'm near 60 years old. I'm bullish on BTU and CHK at these prices, and have added to positions the last two weeks. I don't care if BTU and CHK fall further, becuse the longs are going to be partying this winter when reality comes home to roost. If BTU or CHK raises its dividend (BTU's earnings tremendous), the shorts/puts will go scurrying quicker than expected.
I also like ACI, and have added to my energy heavy portfolio with this one, too, as I have with Freeport - FCX (yes, pricey but great stock) and ABX in the metals sector.
Thus, you all know what I think is coming--and again, let the prices fall and I'll keep buying. Gas, coal, gold -- we're going to be fine.

I agree -- it may take a while but Peabody back in the 80's anf up will arrive when people come to their senses. I'd love to see a dividend increase to move it along a little quicker.
