Another Solar Blow: Spain May Cut Its Incentive Program [view article]
Uh-oh, Augustus. Now you went and did it. You pulled the curtain aside and found the little man behind it. There is a real cost to all this hot air. One that has not been reckoned with is shade pollution. All the eco-freaks act like all they are covering up with their acres of arrays is non-productive land. After all, we're not raising corn for ethanol on it. (another of their feel-good, loser ideas) Jun 28 01:00 PMWhy Bush Doesn't Like Cap-and-Trade [view article]
Sorry. The one website that I cited should be;arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/.../ Apr 16 01:14 PM
Why Bush Doesn't Like Cap-and-Trade [view article]
At least he's not one of the idiots that has fallen for this transparent scam. I'll believe we need it if you can prove to me scientifically that we need it. All anybody else can do is call me names for not "believing". Go to the websitewww.icecap.us/
and read the articles by degreed atmospheric scientists or see arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/... if you're one of the "true believers" that are convinced that the polar ice caps are going to melt and drown us all. Or if you want to beat me over the head with the mantra that it is "settled science", you can go to
www.businessandmedia.o...
and see the names and credentials of some 400 prominent scientists, most of them atmospheric scientists that also are convinced that your globull smarming is B.S. Apr 16 01:11 PM
The Lighter Side of Tax Cuts [view article]
There's entirely too much truth here. The liberals will agree - we should beat up the author. Apr 10 08:45 PMBen Stein Watch: In Defense of Exxon Mobil [view article]
OOooooohhh! It sounds more like somebody has their pantyhose in a wad because they don't have a column in the NYT like Ben Stein. In reply to your egalitarian smack-down, what about all the retirement funds and profit sharing funds that the "common people" are invested in? Doesn't it count that they are profiting from this windfall, as well? As one other responder wrote, where were you when their profits were in the tank?It says a lot about the character of a writer when they choose to take cheap shots. Seeking Alpha - take note. We don't need articles from small thinkers such as this writer. Mar 03 10:03 AM
GE: Nuclear Growth Galore [view article]
Thomas Barta is showing his arrogance by looking down his nose at Texas---Texas.For his information the hills in West Texas---Texas---have been covered with wind generators for years already. My alma mater here in Texas---Texas---is one of the first institutions in the country to go total wind powered. Us poor, dumb rednecks down here in Texas---Texas---don't have the wind that you have up North but we've been using what we have for a long time already. Welcome back from outer space, Mr. Barta.

Recession Fear and Dollar Loathing [view article]
I wouldn't put any stock in anything Soros says. He comes from a "hate-America&quo... agenda that he has been pushing for a long time. He will jump for joy if America and the dollar crashes. He will make even more millions off of his foreign exchange investments. Feb 07 04:56 AMAre Stock Options At the Root of Executive Malfeasance? [view article]
I think it is significant to mention at this point that there has not been a single golf pro involved in one of these scandals. Why has golf maintained it's character? There are certainly large amounts of money involved. Could it be that the pros have a certain amount of character to go along with the game? Money only tempts those that are open to temptation. Feb 06 07:38 AMUnited Technologies' Molten Salt Solar Power Generation [view article]
Here's another example of breathless anticipation of a world-saving technology. Now, take a deep breath and relax. Look at the numbers behind the numbers. The article states that this size of generator will serve 1050 households. All this to be generated from an array that is 1200 acres in size?! Given that the average lot size is 1/2 acre that means that the area occupied by the mirrors is more than twice the size occupied by the homes. It also means that 1200 acres of land will be deprived of sunshine. No one yet has done a calculation of the cost of what I call "shade pollution" or the effect on land taken out of the biosphere. We may not do the calculation but, be assured, nature is. Jan 17 09:23 AMReducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions: A Concrete Proposal [view article]
Oh yes. You have revealed yourself as a true believer in the church of Globull Smarming! You have used one of the requisite words in the liturgy - "may". This is one the GS believers favorite words, along with "could", "might', "possibly" and other wussy words. I dare you "true believers" to come up with an incremental number that we can use as a guide to the truth of the tenets of your religion. For instance, instead of saying that we are going to drown a large portion of Florida, why don't you say that the water level is going to increase by 1 foot per year. That is a reasonable request. Surely you're not trying to tell us that a huge tsunami is going to build offshore all these years and then suddenly wash over Florida? Or are you afraid that your dark predictions are only contributing to the hot air surrounding this subject? Jan 13 06:29 AMTransition to an Electric Economy [view article]
I guess I missed his proclamation about nuclear power. Is this a head-in-the-sand approach of a "no new nuclear" troglodyte? You talk about ships changing motive power. How about the nuclear powered ships that the Navy has running all over the world? There are some big holes in this writers horizon. Jan 02 07:32 AMBush's Desperate Attempt To Forestall Jobs Implosion [view article]
I request of SA that you not publish anymore articles by this moonbat. Dec 24 08:40 PMARM Bailout Unfair to Responsible Borrowers [view article]
This "bail-out" is the most reasonable in my estimation. There will always be someone hurt. This writer is saying, in sum, hurt somebody other than me. (He is not really "hurt" anyway. He's just mad. Just like somebody that bought a stock before it tanked.)This bailout will hurt the lenders which it should do. Maybe next time that they want to get greedy and talk people into a re-fi so they can get their mortgage loan, they will think twice about it.
On second thought, no. They will be as greedy as a misinformed public will allow them to be. Dec 06 10:20 AM
Time To Warm Up The Helicopters? [view article]
Barry speaks truth. Let the fatcats that got their pockets full from the ARM shell game pay themselves out. The only problem with that though is that the little people associated with CountryWide, et al, will be the ones hurt. The slime balls have already sheltered their fortunes. Aug 12 09:28 AMCaveat Emptor: The Energy Balance of Snake Oil [view article]
Well, well, well. It seems the author of this article is not immune to being taken by scams either. I noticed his slight reference to our "urgent" need to "deal with the problems" such as global warming. This globull smarming cespecially anthropogenic gs) idiocy will be seen by history to be one of the biggest scams of this century. Jul 03 07:40 AM
