Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know Newsby SA Editor Rachael Granby- Bank trio becomes duo. Wells Fargo (WFC) will become the largest U.S. bank by branches with its bid for Wachovia (WB), after Citigroup (C) withdrew from compromise negotiations late yesterday on concerns about the quality of some of Wachovia's assets. Wells Fargo, with a bid valued at $11.4B, expects the purchase to be completed by the end of the year, and denies it will have to absorb assets shakier than originally thought.
- Government considers next steps. As the financial crisis continues to worsen, the U.S. government is considering two dramatic steps to turn around, or at least slow, the damage: guaranteeing billions of dollars in bank debt and temporarily insuring all U.S. bank deposits. The moves, which would mark the government's most extensive intervention to date, are in discussion stages only.
- Credit stays frozen. As frozen credit markets refuse to thaw, the cost of default protection on corporate bonds reaches new global records amid investor concerns the credit crisis will trigger corporate failures as companies struggle to finance their businesses. Interbank lending remains limited, and borrowing from the Fed's expanded discount window continued its trend of setting new highs every week, as the total daily average rose to $420.2B vs. $367.8B last week.

Nastech Pharmaceutical Company Inc. Q1 2008 Earnings Call Transcript
LASTLY THERE HASN'T BEEN A RELEASE ON SEEKING ALPHA ON 'NSTK, SINCE LAST OCTOBER 2007. IS IT BECAUSE OF ALNY DEAL TODAY, RE:RNAI, WITH A JAPANESE COMPANY FOR $1 BILLION DOLLARS THAT MAKES THIS CONFERENCE CALL SUDDENLY NEWSWORTHY?
STRIKE ONE, NO ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN 24 YEARS. STRIKE TWO MANY PARTNERSHIPS DOWN THE DRAIN. STRIKE THREE A $18 DOLLAR STOCK IS NOW $1.14
ANALYSTS-RESEARCH FIRMS-STAR MINE EXPERTS AND MANAGEMENT HAVE BEEN DEAD WRONG FOR YEARS AND HAVE THE WORSE RECORD OF ANY COMPANY THAT I'VE EVER SEEN.
General Discussion on NSTK
THE RESEARCH FIRMS, STAR MINE EXPERTS AND T.V. PERSONALITIES ALL BUT LEFT THE PLAYING FIELD.
I'M SURE MANAGEMENT WILL HAVE TO MAKE SOME NEWS ANNOUNCEMENTS SOON, SINCE THE CHEERLEADERS OF YESTERDAY ARE SIDELINED!
STILL ON COURSE FOR $1.00 BID & COMPLIANCE LETTER.
General Discussion on NSTK
Taunya Sell, of Ragen Mackenzie, a division of Wells Fargo. As a novice investor, I can't help but question the motives of an analysis given NSTK 4 stars right now. First, in February 2006 when NSTK was $12.45 Taunya Sell gave NSTK a 4 Star Rating. Then in March on or around the 19th, 2008 another 4 Star rating. This rating was given 2 days after NSTK's own Accounting firm said, there is question of NSTK continuing on. Hence, the stock dropped 47%. But now she gives NSTK once again, a new 4 Star Rating after the stock reached another all time low of $1.18. In conclusion, from $18 dollar stock price to $1.18 and A NEW STAR RATING? Isn't TANUYA SELL, RAGEN MACKENZIE, AND WELLS FARGO EMBARRASSED ENOUGH TO BE CHASING A STOCK THAT IS DEAD IN THE WATER? IT GOES TO PROVE THAT INVESTORS CAN NOT DEPEND ON POINTS OF VIEW DISCUSSED ON T.V. SHOWS, RESEARCH FIRMS WITH THEIR HIGH TARGET PRICES, AND STAR RATING ANALYSTS WHO SEEM TO MERELY NOTHING MORE THAN PEDDLERS OR TOUTERS WITH OTHER MOTIVES.
Best, Worst Performers Since the 10/9 Top
AND THAT IF THEY WERE NOT CAREFUL, THAT THEY WOULD GO RIGHT OFF THE CLIFF. WELL IT HAPPENED IN NOVEMBER WHEN THEIR PARTNER BROKE OFF THEIR AGREEMENT.
BY DECEMBER THE NEW TUNE WAS RNAI AND NEW SUBSIDIARY.
BY JANUARY THEIR CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER QUIT. TO CUT DOWN EXPENSES THEY FIRED WORKERS BUT AT THE SAME TIME HIRED A WHOLE NEW BOARD FOR THEIR SUBSIDIARY. MAKES SENSE RIGHT?
THEN THEY SELL NEW ISSUANCE OF SHARES TO PAY DOWN EXPENSES,
RAISED $7.9 MILLION BUT THE SMALL PRINT ON THE BOTTOM SAID MANAGEMENT MAY USE MONEY FOR OTHER ITEMS THAT SHAREHOLDERS MAY NOT AGREE WITH.
RNAI IS IN PRE-CLINICAL STAGE. NSTK HAS YET TO ENTER PHASE 1, THEN COMES PHASE 2 AND THEN PHASE 3. BY THAT TIME YOU WILL HAVE CELEBRATED 7 MORE BIRTHDAYS.
IN 48 HOURS THE EARNINGS REPORT COMES OUT. I SAY IT CAN'T BE GOOD BUT DEDICATED LONGS SAY IT DOESN'T COUNT.
IN FACT NOHING COUNTS WITH THEM EXCEPT FAIRY TALES ABOUT NSTK. FROM $18 DOLLARS TO $1.37 NOW AND THEY THE SHAREHOLDERS, EXPECT NSTK TO RISE ONCE AGAIN. IT IS THIS LOYALTY, THIS DEDICATION, THIS DOWN RIGHT STUPIDITY THAT KEEPS MANAGEMENT IN BUSINESS. I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE RIGHT FOR THE PAST 13 MONTHS ON THIS SITE OR ALL THE OTHERS REGARDING NSTK. INVESTORS ARE NSTK'S BEST PIPELINE. IT MAY BE HARD TO BELIEVE $1.00 ON THE BID BY AUGUST 22, 2008, BUT LOOK AT THE FACT THAT AFTER 24 YEARS THE STOCK PRICE IS $1.37 AND THE COMPANY IS NOWHERE. OVERSOLD AND DILUTED.
General Discussion on NSTK
AFTER POURING THE FOUNDATION SOME 24 YEARS AGO, I THINK THE BUILDING IS NOT SAFE TODAY TO HOUSE INVESTORS. YET THEY HAVE A CULT TYPE FOLLOWING NO MATTER HOW MANY NEGATIVE ARTICLES COME OUT AND HOW DEVASTATED INVESTORS PORTFOLIO'S HAVE BECOME.
GOOD FOR MANAGEMENT BUT NOT FOR INVESTORS. THE $7.9 MILLION RAISED LAST FRIDAY
WAS A WONDER ACHIEVEMENT BUT THOSE INVESTORS ARE ALREADY IN THE RED. AFTER THE DEBACLE OF THE LAST 12 MONTHS, THEY SHOULD PUBLISH WHO BOUGHT THE STOCKS. AS LONG AS THERE ARE INVESTORS LIKE THIS, MANAGEMENT CAN'T LOOSE.
The fundamental strength of the Nastech Pharmaceutical Company, Inc. is below average when compared to other stocks. Based on our ranking, the financial strength of NSTK is in the bottom 10%.(ASKSTOCKGURU) .......AND BURN RATE IS STILL OUT OF CONTROL
PIPELINE OR PIPEDREAMS!
General Discussion on NSTK
HOW MANY MORE IGNORANT INVESTORS ARE OUT THERE, STILL TO BUY NEW ISSUANCE OF STOCKS FROM A COMPANY THAT HAS NO PRODUCTS WHILE THE STOCK PRICE IS CURRENTLY AT $1.40 AND HEADING FOR $1.00 ON THE BID BY LATE AUGUST 2008?
SOLUTION MANAGEMENT JUMPS SHIP AND BOARDS ANOTHER SHIP AND CHANGES THE NAME. THE NEW IN THING IS RNAI HOWEVER IT'S FAR FROM BEING MASTERED AND APPROVED. BUT THIS IS PERFECT FOR MANAGEMENT.MAYBE THEY CAN GET ANOTHER 25 YEARS OF SALARIES AND BONUSES LIKE THE FIRST 25 YEARS.
INVESTORS BEWARE!
Best, Worst Performers Since the 10/9 Top
$7.9 million dollars worth of stock. It would make the guiness book of records for having so many idiots on one page! No wonder companies like this keep lining managements pockets. There are so many gullable stupid people in this world.
Best, Worst Performers Since the 10/9 Top
IN STOCK SALE AT $1.73, SO TODAY THE STOCK WENT DOWN FROM $2.18 TO ABOUT $1.40 BY 2:30P.M. I STATED THIS STOCK WOULD BE A $1.00 ON THE BID BY AUGUST 2008 BUT WHAT I'D REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHO ARE THE INDIVIDUAL OR GROUPS OF IDIOTS THAT WOULD BUY THIS STOCK AFTER THREE COMPANIES DIVORCED THEM, AND HARDLY ANY SALES, AND BURN RATE OUT OF CONTROL. THEY SHOULD THOSE WHO BOUGHT TODAY FOR US ALL TO SEE THE IDIOTS NAMES.
FROM $18 DOLLARS TO $1.40.
DO YOU THINK THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL YET.
NOBODY LISTENS AND I GUESS WHEN THEY READ BANKRUPTCY IN THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, THEN MAYBE THEY WILL REALIZE WHAT HAS HAPPENED!
Generex Biotech: A Breath of Fresh Insulin
Everything in this world is about MONEY. Does anyone think that if GNBT had a product that could rake in money, that a Big Drug Company would pass it by? Investors look for all the excuses they want to hear. This is what makes the world go round and as long as there are investors who believe in the company, the company continues to move along. Even if you bought GNBT 5 years ago at $1.07 and today it is worth $1.13, it doesn't matter to investors. Why, because they believe.
This is what helps put money into managements pockets for decades, even if there is no significant product generating revenue. To confirm the stupidity of investors, look at all the wonderful news announcements in a 5 year period but then look at todays stock price.
Biotech in Review: Positive Consolidation in China Life Science Companies
BOTTOM LINE, THEY ARE STILL BUILDING A FACILITY SINCE 2005. ORA-LYN IN PHASE 3,
WHAT'S THIS MEAN FOR SHAREHOLDERS?
OPPORTUNITY TO GET OUT ON NEWS IF THE STOCK GOES UP.
REALITY IS GNBT WON'T BECOME A STAR OVERNIGHT OR GO IN THE BLACK.
IT ONLY MAKES SHAREHOLDERS BECOME MORE HYPED ON THE COMPANY BUT DO NOT MAKE THEM RICHER BY NO MEANS!

Nastech 4Q Loss Widens, Has Doubts About Going Concern
3-17-08 5:12 PM EDT | E-mail Article | Print Article
DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
Nastech's financial filings included a note from its independent accountant saying the company's recurring losses and accumulated debt "raise substantial doubt" about the company's ability to continue as a going concern. The company is restructuring its business, reducing its workforce and renegotiating vendor agreements.
**THIS IS WHAT YOU DON’T READ IN THE FINANCIAL REPORT THAT WAS RELEASED!
AS AN INVESTOR, DO YOU KNOW HOW ALARMING THIS IS?
AS INVESTORS GO THROUGH THE ‘MINE FIELD’, ALL THEY HEAR IS
GOOD NEWS AND WONDERFUL COMPLICATED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS.
BUT FRUITION OF MURPHY’S LAW IS EVER PRESENT!
MY OPINION IS THAT NSTK WILL BE A $1 DOLLAR ON THE BID BY AUGUST,
BUT THE ABOVE INTERPRETATION OF MORNINGSTAR IS QUITE ALARMING!

WHEN IS THE INSTITUTIONS,FUNDS AND RESEARCH FIRMS
GOING TO WAKE UP?
Best, Worst Performers Since the 10/9 Top
As of yesterday, Wednesday, the stock closed back to $2.19.
Hefty profits made by institutions/Hedge funds running it up and then shorting the stock, is my opinion. In 6days the Earnings report comes out, and my summation is that continued New Lows will occur.
Question now is will the Research Firms who cover NSTK continue to
Stand by with their outperform and ridiculous Target prices as NSTK keeps setting new lows?
