ETF Update: Time For Defensive Plays
Yesterday (9/22 M), FXP (financial short ETF) was up 7+ dollars. But SKF, said to be double short financial ETF, was up only 2 dollars. Why so?

Bank on Goldman - Cramer's Stop Trading! (9/22/09)
I forgot to ask a question -- I apologize for its being relevant to the topic but not specifically to Cramer's commentary. The question is this: Viewing tapes crossing the bottom of CNBC, I noted that FXP (financial short ETF) was up 7+ dollars today (9/22), but SKF (financial double short ETF) was up only nominally, from 5 cents to a dollar or two -- theoretically, the latter should double that of the former, or 14+ or so. Why this did not come about?

Other commentators, over CNBC, invariably suggest viewers to avoid financials. Cramer is indeed brave in taking a contrarian view. I did not seem to have read his reasoning for his recommendation.

No Harm; No Fail - Cramer's Mad Money (9/16/08)
Over BBC at 10 EDT on 9/16, the leading story is indeed the Fed bailout of AIG to the tune of $85 billion.

A hypothetical question. Suppose I buy a $5 put on a stock, XYZ, and suppose the stock is delisted. Suppose I do not own the stock and the stock is delisted, how is the settlement done?

Trends in the Top 5 U.S. ETFs
This is the first time "total asset value" is used as the criterion for ranking ETFs. What is the logic behind this? How is the figure determined? How does transaction volume affect total asset value?

Five ETFs Beating This Bear Market
Every day, in IBD, there is a list showing the 10 best and 10 worst ETFs over different horizons (1 wk, 1 month, 3 months, etc). Reverse funds are also covered. None of the 5 ETFs listed here made the IBD list as being among the best. What is going on?

Fuld to Wall of Shame - Cramer's Mad Money (9/9/08)
Well said, Britishsteel. It seems that China is now blamed for everything -- she is to blame for doing something (e.g, carbon emission), and she is to blame for not doing something (not buying more of this and that). I no longer listen to Cramer on account of his China-bashing.

Good to know the different tax rates applied to various ETFs. Suggest you do one exclusively on this topic. Also, the phrase "earning 28% capital gain rate" is misleading.

Merrill Raises Capital - Fast Money Recap (7/28/08
Excellent report. I tried to follow Fast Money whenever I could, but the last portion (one next-day trade) was invariably too fast such that I could not catch what was said. So, that alone would make your summary valuable. One suggestion: create a new section head for this entry. I almost missed reading yours because of its being listed under "Cramer's Pick."
